FLOODrisk 2020 conference in Budapest, the call for abstracts is launched

After Lyon (France) in 2016, the 4th European Conference on Flood Risk Management, will take place in Budapest from 31st August to 4th September 2020.

FLOODrisk2020 is committed to attract, coach and listen to the next generation of scientists and practitioners who will future-proof our research methods and help to improve our flood risk management practice in order to better cope with deep uncertainty and therefore the 4th conference will focus on the issue of Science and practice for an uncertain future.

FLOODrisk2020 invites you to come and share your knowledge about, insights into and views on the following topics:

  • Theme 1: Flood hazard development
  • Theme 2: Changing vulnerability
  • Theme 3: Risk rise or fall?
  • Theme 4: Adaptive flood risk management planning
  • Theme 5: Improved warning and disaster management
  • Theme 6: Decision making for an uncertain future

More than 120 presentations, of international origin, will be selected by the Scientific Committee of the conference, chaired by Frans Klijn of Deltares in the Netherlands. The call for abstracts is launched on the conference website www.floodrisk2020.net. Proposals must be submitted by 15 July 2019.
